It’s hard not getting what we want. It’s hard not doing what we want. It’s hard . . . eating Brussels sprouts! For Anthony, some lessons are BIGGER than others. Fortunately he has some help along the way. Join Anthony and his favorite stuffed animal, Mikey, as they learn about the power of prayer, the importance of our spiritual struggles, and ultimately, the love of God.
About the Author: Deacon John lives in New England with his wife, Kaleria, and his two children, Kiranna & Anthony. He attends and serves at St. Xenia Russian Orthodox Church in Methuen, MA. In his spare time, he can often be found napping, enjoying his family, or simply dreaming about dinosaurs. No dinosaurs were hurt in the making of this book.
About the Illustrator: Having studied classical animation, Michael has always had an interest in storytelling brought to life through pictures. He often chases the pictures he likes best around the world, visiting them in big cities like Rome or Amsterdam. There is a painting he would very much like to see in Hamburg, Germany, and he hopes to visit there soon. When not hunched over his desk, he hides out deep in the woods, camping on a lonely island in an isolated northern lake. Today he lives in Toronto, Canada.
